Probably not an issue. The location will not be seen. Just worried about the corrosion protection. Doug's d453.
Who knows, the next set may be worse. Should I exchange them? I have time and patience.

You could do that just installing them. Get a little silver header paint on a tiny brush and just touch over those little spots

Like Joe said, you paid top $$. Get your $$ worth.
**edit** if you dont hold people/companies accountable the QC will drop even more and imo we whine and ***** on here about QC quite a bit so stop the madness lol

Mine came with a couple scratches too, but they were painted black. I touched them up. One thing I learned in this hobby is that there will be little imperfections sometimes. Because you can't see the imperfection, I wouldn't send them back. It's not a piece of fine china. They were stacked with some other headers. I'm sure

for the money they charge i'd want perfect ones.. hell maybe they send you a new set and tell you to keep those..:)

I had a dash pad come slightly damaged a couple months ago. I complained and they sent me another one and I was able to keep the damaged one... It’s worth a try.

Thanks for the responses. A new set is on it's way and Summit issued a call tag. Hopefully the next set isn't worse. Like 4spdragtop said. Gotta call them out. The boxing should have been better in my view. Not real sure its shipping damage but the box is dinged up and the bag is ripped so... Summit is taking care of it.

The issue is not with the factory- or maybe it is the factory and crappy packing.
As a person who just bought the same ceramic coated Doug’s back in Sept. mine came in perfect. It a lot of times comes down to the 1/2 wit delivery people. Not the drivers but the warehouse and loading guys. They throw stuff all the time. Why? It is easier to throw or kick a box than carry it over because their pay is on how many items they move per hour. The delivery guy has to actually see and talk to the end user.

Doug’s will probably ask for yours back and then send you a new set. Then you can scratch and dent the new ones installing them like I did! Lol! They fit great.

Its all taken care of. Another set on the way. One of the scratches was actually a gouge that would cut your finger if your fingers are of the pinkish color. I don't plan on scratching them THAT bad but if I do it will be MY fault and I can live with that.

Don't send the set you have now back till you get the replacement set.

Who knows it might have a damaged header for the other side , so between the two sets you can make one good set

I will echo what some others have said. Don't settle for damaged parts.

Hold people accountable.

I will follow Summits protocol this time. If it happens again there may be more words to exchange. I am not in a hurry for the headers. I am mostly buying them now as to hedge against inflation or shortages. Stocked up on some other goodies too. Need a modern carb. Looking at the summit carbs.

Yeah this^^^^^

Did you pay them with damaged money?
