I've had this 49 Wayfarer for a while. Still has the flathead six, with dual carbs and an Edmunds head. Originally had a three speed manual trans with a fluid coupling and a clutch (senior Dodges had a more complicated 4-speed trans with planetaries and a torque converter plus a manual trans type clutch). I got rid of the fluid coupling and it's a straight three-speed manual now. Has disc brakes up front, and just recently converted to 12 volts. I have Fenton cast iron headers for it, but haven't put them in yet. It's a day or two away from having electronic ignition.
