Need Heat Protection for Floor Shift Cable, etc. (904 Torqueflite)
Are you using the factory clamps that hold cables (and speedometer cable) up against the floorboard? One for the parking brake cable goes on the nut/bolt that secure the accelerator pedal (photo #1). The other I believe has two parts (one for speedo/one for parking brake control cable) (photo #2). Or maybe model year '62 had a different arrangement? Photo #3 is an overview.
