Mechanical linkage on Vacuum carbs..

RRR
That's exactly what I was trying to decipher, because in the 80s I had a 440 6 bbl car that It's original carbs were switched to mechanical linkages and I almost can guarantee that it was done with some "kit conversion" I just did not recall the exact nature of it.
I knew that if anyone would know the ins and outs of it they would be from this site.

Again, thank you for everyone's response, thus far.

As for the bogging, I remember that there were 2 sliding locking type bolts on the linkage arms that allowed you to control when the middle carb could open completely....as well as the outer carbs.
In fact there was a lot of trial and error involved until you got it to where you knew it was as good as it can get with your set up, rear gears, HP of your car etc.
You were are able to have the car start on all six barrels if you wanted to but that was too much for my car at that time.
If the car was able to hook and go off the line (and with a bottle at the time, which NOS had made their 1st the six pack set ever...for me, and I was in Canada, A Mr Thermos I recall was the man's name) the car did not bog as it came alive when everything was tuned in properly.

Thanks again everyone.
