Sorry to hear of the engine trouble, that sucks, BUT this time around have fun making it stronger and faster huh? Always something good from something bad I always say!

But all in all, your really only left with a great collection of parts from which to choose when you get to build the next one
 
After six years in storage, took the forged crank 71 440 put it aside and had the 76 440 completely rebuild. Hopefully I could take her for a spin before June

Congratulations! I know how you feel. A little over 30 years ago I stopped racing and paddle locked my garage because I was too busy because of work. I'm retired now and I have been digging through my stuff and putting some engines together again for another final run at it. Best Wishes.
 
Check timing chain. Had an Olds 307Y that the nylon coating on the gears broke off. Couldn't turn it with a wrench.
