This stuff was $800 1970s used car lot fodder that was hacked into, modified, used for movie stardom, then discarded to the scrap yard when filming wrapped up. It was never made to be functional, livable, and useable on a daily basis. The Monaro was a full frame car like the Chevelle it was based on.
