I don't think you can swap retainers. The OD transmission input bearing is large enough to pull the input shaft out from the front, the only A833 that you can do this on. The larger bearing required a larger retainer with a larger bolt circle. I think you have two options, get the correct bell or check on machining the opening in your bell housing to fit the OD retainer. I say check because I have never machined a bell housing for the OD transmission but I have machined an earlier Hemi bell housing to accept the later, larger bearing retainer and the larger hole came very close to the bolting for the clutch fork pivot.
