Take these folks advice, they know a thing, or 1000....
A 408 stroker, with decent heads and the right gearing just might send them boys looking for their SS emblems on the side of the rode... Seems all chevies are SS's....
There's a good example of a stock bottom end (meaning cast crank, factory rods, but 10.5:1 pistons) 360LA, with TrickFlow 190's making 530 on the dyno. That's pretty snappy for anyone on the street.
This guys car is a pretty good example of a lot of cars I see at TnT nights...it dynoed at "530hp", but if I recall correctly it only runs mid 11's.....That doesn't add up well...either happy dyno, or in efficient chassis, or bad converter, or bad (take your pick of a myriad of parts). The point being, I know a lot of cars that make big HP numbers that can't ET worth crap.
Don't get me wrong, its a very nice car...it just doesn't run the number I would expect.
