Are all tracks going 1/8 mile.

Drag racing is all but dead here in the Houston, TX area. Oh, there are a few tracks but (as others note) who wants to spend a whole day and lots of suffering to make 2 or 3 passes? And who wants to run a 13.1 mile marathon?

As the world closes in on us, we would all be foolish to not expect to lose more and more freedoms. Can you imagine, we used to be able to walk into a store without a mask on??

There is no doubt 1/8 mile racing is safer. Safety is what matters in the ******-driven society we are adopting. The only question is...how long before some someone notices that 1/16 mile racing is even safer, and 1/32 mile racing is safer yet?

And the top fuel and funny cars are running about the same mph now at 1000 ft as they were at 1320 feet.....

rights to race at Bremerton Raceway in WA State were sold to somebody new and they converted it all 1/8 mile. It wouldn't bother me so much if they just wanted to run their points program that way and had 1/4 mile racing on Friday nights or something, but it's 1/8 or nothing. Now for the long haul to Pacific Raceway outside Seattle...
