70dart340 - about the tach, if you are not that particular about originality - take a look at what Jeff Ramen did with his 1968 Barracuda, this is probably what I was going to do (Jeff's 1968 Barracuda, Aftermarket Tach). Jeff has since sold his car - hope he keeps his site up because its a great resource to me. :) he used an AutoMeter 2891, I think today the tach is around 140-150 USD. I've also seen a guy on YouTube use an Autometer 1490 tach, at around 130-140 USD today) and take it out of the housing. )
