Hey Guys,
Just wanted to get an option on shocks for the front of the Dart. I am already sold on the dual adjustable QA1 TD901 for the rear but I was wondering if I could get away with the single adjustable QA1 TS501 for the front. I'm also thinking about getting the split mono-leaf springs to go along with my new Cal-tracs that I just mounted on my super stock springs (had to try them out). I am going with the 1" above stock as my wheel clearance is not good at the wheel well lips. They don't rub now but if it was any lower it might be an issue. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks for your help.

I'm running QA1 adjustable front and back and I like them but not sure if there the same as what your looking at.
I would be interested in the mono leaf springs for my car so would be interested if you put them on your Dart how you like them and the weight difference.

Hi Fred,
Long time no speak. Are you running the single adjustable or dual adjustable on the front of your car? I am putting the door adjustable on the rear but I was wondering if it was really needed for the front. I will let you know how the split mono lease workout for me. My only concern is I cannot allow the body to drop any lower. I like the rake as it is and I don't want any tire rubbing as the wheel well lips are reasonably close.

I have the singles adjustable and seems to work just fine for me but I'm not really racing mine just long road trips.
Yea I would be concerned about changing the height on mine as well but would like to loose a few pounds off the rear.
Been a long time since I talked to you how is your car coming along did you get your engine done yet? I sure will miss that super charger but I bet you got a sweet engine now.
Any pictures of it?

I would be very interested in seeing the difference in ride height between SS springs and the 1” over mono’s. I’m running SS with Caltracs and can’t go any lower in the rear.

What is the price difference between the SA and DA shocks? There is no way I’d run a SA shock unless the price difference was 200 bucks a shock.

Being able to tune for bump and rebound (compression and extension) is critical.

Also, I ended up with Vikings because when I bought mine, the Vikings had a stiffer valving to start with. Since I’m running a stick, I figured stiffer valving from the start would be better. I’d rather run in the middle of the adjustment rather than at maximum adjustment.

From what i understand, running Cal tracks with S/S springs is a no no
Heard people say that multiple times.
Think Calvert would tell you that too

They now say you can do it, but it’s not optimal.

Also staying tuned
70 Dart

70 Dart here too, yeah I know it has a 72 grill! Lol

It's about a $200.00 difference between dual and single.

So what are you guys using with SS springs?

I used CE 3 ways on them in my 9 sec Duster
went 1.34 60 foot at 3350 pounds
Could dial that car blindfolded. s/s springs work good on A bodies because they have nice rear overhang and are naturally good race cars.
No clamps, no nothing

We offer Viking in both the warrior line and Crusader line. The Warrior is a great all around shock for a combination of Street and Track. If you want a specific valving for a specific purpose the Crusader line would be the way to go.

Also as a member you are eligible for the forum member discount on Vikings and free shipping in the US 48 states.

Thanks

Do you have a website and are your shocks dual adjustable?

They look good James and I'm interested but the web site says 2 to 3 week lead time. I'm just a little gun shy, every time I order something that's not in stock they keep moving the date back (not saying PST has done it). Is the website accurate?

What's the length of the rear Viking shocks compressed and at full extension? I think Calvert is looking for 8" of travel.

Because they fight each other !

Does anyone know the fully compressed and fully extended.lengths of the Viking Warrior shocks? QA1 lists them but PST doesn't give any for the Vikings. Calvert wants 8" I believe. Thanks for your help.

14.85 compressed height.
23.54 extended height.
8.69 inch stroke.
18.375 to 20 inch ride height.
