Have 1965 Dart with Charger 273. Radiator was leaking so I pulled it out the other day and took it to the radiator shop for repairs. Checked the water pump and there is some play in the shaft so I am going to replace the pump. Anyone have suggestions as to where to buy a replacement?
Checked the parts stores ( Auto Zone, Napa, Advance, O'Reilly's, and Rock Auto) and price at all of them are within a couple of dollars. Who would you buy a water pump from?

FlowKooler High Flow water pump is my recommendation. 65'

I recently bought a water pump from Autozone and was completely satisfied with the quality. By the way, they have a very fast delivery.

Dano, the outlet is on the drivers side.
Thanks for the input, just read several different reviews on the net and thought I would ask what folks on the forum say.

@MOPAROFFICIAL always recommends one and I cannot remember which. Maybe he will chime in since I tagged him.

The water pump I got from Napa was a rebuilt Factory pump that had the pentastar on it. And also had some Factory numbers that called it out as some kind of special water pump can't remember what was special about it but when I looked at numbers up online people wanted big bucks for them I mean for a water pump... anyways it wouldn't hurt to go to the store and open up the box and see what they have you can always say you don't want it...

The early iron water pump.
Napa, carquest/adv auto, Northern autoparts, kragen/oreilys used to carry decent ones.
Never used an Autozone, pep boys pump...had issues with some of their parts.
Chief auto , wish they were still around..

I look at quality as much as anyone else..but for those on a tight budget I offer this...
if you you dont drive it much 'or drive too far from home'.. you could gamble on a cheap pump.

Generic, they all use just about the same wet bearing pressed into a bead blasted core. At Vatozone, you pay for the warranty as the price difference. make sure you get an iron one in the box. There are probably 5X the aluminum LA pumps out there and they will throw the pulley dimension off as well as get your inlet into right field. FSM shows you how to R&R the wet bearing with a press. Ah, the good old days....of fix rather than replace down to even the PB booster.
