727 rebuild kit

Sending one of these 727s or 904s out to be rebuilt for a warranty is the most terrible advice I've ever heard... If you can fall out of bed you can rebuild one of these... The reason the kits don't have five clutches is because they're trying to compete with the other 300 internet sellers for the cheapest price. They'll sell you another steal and another clutch if you need one separately but in order to keep their kits 10 cents cheaper than the next guy which is generally the deciding factor for a lot of people but don't put it in there.... Kits are about in the $125 range and a trans go two shift kit is in the $75 range.. a jar of Vaseline is in the $3 range LOL... A good pair of snap ring pliers is probably in the $20 range and a plastic toothpick should be pretty cheap for getting the lip seals in...
A thread just recently where a guy had the reverse band drop out of his transmission and the transmission shop wouldn't warranty it because he changed the oil pan to a larger one which LOL would help the transmission shop because he could carry more clean fluid LOL...
When you rebuild it yourself you know it's done right... Or not.. LOL...
When I was getting the advice of a member who managed automatic transmission shops he said if one of his employees couldn't build two of these in a day he'd be looking for a different job pretty soon... He might have said three I can't remember but the point is it's not even that time consuming more like rebuilding a carburetor... Of course since we're doing it at home we'll take our time and make sure everything's right especially the first time...
