They said it was going to be Snowpocalypse 2021 edition here in Northern Colorado, looks like they got it right this time.

20 inches of cement snow in 24 hours and 24 hours more to go.

I guess no driving the convertible today:(

I know I know, you in the north east call this t shirt weather!

My little hand me down 2 stroke snow thrower and 2 hours of 12 inches forward and 6 inches back, 6 inch slivers at a time finally cleared my driveway. I think it is time to get a REAL snow thrower.

But with 20 + inches in the street the 06 grand caravan is not going to make it out of the driveway.

My neighbor was trying to clear his driveway with a plug in electric thrower. It was working surprisingly well untill he hit the stuff he threw into his own path.:realcrazy: CEMENT does not throw well!

Damn, and heading our way but only 6" predicted here in NE Iowa.

How you doing up there Dana? We have about 11 inches on the ground but the snow just picked up again. Now the wind is blowing also. Just in from clearing the sidewalks, this stuff is heavy, time to start the tractor and do the driveway.

Latest prediction 4-7 not complaining though

Holy Shiznit did the snow and wind pick up. Just came in from feeding the horses. Snow up over my knee's drifts up to my waist, I'm 6-3. Hard to walk and can't see where I dug out with the tractor. Can only see about 10-20 feet.

City does not plow side streets do we are here for a few days.

There is one guy with a pickup and plow but I don't know if he could get out to start.

How did you make out Dana? Any where from 12 inches to 3 feet depending where you walk out here.

We have a solid 22 inches, everywhere!

No way I'm getting my minivan 1 block to the main street till my street melts or the association hires a plow to clear it.

Drove to Whistler, BC and the snow was up to the stop sign tins. Sidewalks were carved out valleys and the town and streets were groomed but man, that was the most snow this Cali boy has ever seen in one spot. Hunker down and get that fire going!

My mom grew up in NJ, she has photos of the snow being well over her head. She told of my grandfather having to go out a 2nd story window to dig out to the front door.

WHATINHELL are you doin up there??

We had an EASY winter this winter. Very little snow, a little short cold streak, there are a few little bits of snow/ ice left on the N side of buildings here and there, basically gone.

1993......still a good story. Big Bear, Cali gets some good snow once every 7 years. This was a while ago but Whistler put this a distant 2nd.

Should have said "So. Cali"....yeah, Donner, Truckee..those places get dumped on! Marine Corps has a cold weather training base in Bridgeport, CA...never went.

What do you say when.....
I have seen it happen

The city requires all home owners with a sidewalk adjacent to their property to clean the sidewalks within 24 hours of the last snow fall of a snow event.

I have seen folks clear the sidewalk just to have the city plows throw a mound of snow all over it.

I would make a big poster in the shape of a hand throwing the bird and stick it right in the middle of the new mound.

I used to ski at the bigbear ski areas, I remember a snow so deep that one of the lifts 10 to 40 yards after you got on the your skiis would touch the ground
