Is my compressor shot?

Thanks Ken, I changed oil earlier(swapped to synthetic equivalent a few years ago)when the problems started. I hope the bad check valve was responsible for the oil leaks too.

I'll bet the bad check valve stressed the motor and blew your capacitor
