Guys doing swaps with junkyard engines. If using the factory injection, take a moment and get your injectors cleaned. Just had a set cleaned for a 318 build I’m doing. Had 1 bad injector that flowed well but leaked fuel externally. I recommend Eric Derr of Derr injection. Super fast turnaround, and great pricing.

Thanks for the heads up! Going through some bugs and nice to know this can be an issue.

Is there a DIY cleaning for these injectors? Flushing?

I’m sure there is, but for $80 it’s not worth the effort for me at least. You get new o rings, filters and a sheet that shows the flow rate and pattern.
