71 dodge 360 running motor.

I know of a 72 360 short block, looks like the only 360 I have seen with actual flat top pistons instead of dished that hasn't been rebuilt. Problem is, there is rust in cylinders, has sat with no heads for many years. still sitting in a Fury wagon, it does still have the hood, unknown if it has been stored with hood up or closed before my son wound up with it....
It is not teh same car (different colors to start with) but I remember the 1st 360 we had in the family was another 72 Fury wagon with a 360, before I was driving age, everyone that did drive it liked the 400 in the 73 much better... power, mileage, and more. For some reason everyone hated that particular 360 back then.... I was ~12-13ish when we had this car, didnt know as much about cars or engines as I do now (not sayin that is alot or anything even now))

The 71 is different not because of the piston top. Lots of 360s had flat tops. The 71 pistons actually had a taller compression height and sat up in the bore more than the rest.
