I just got some new tires installed on my 73 Valiant, my main concern is the rear tire distance from the leaf springs. I would like to have 1 inch and I am currently at 1/2 in from the leafs.

I am thinking about a 1/2 in spacer and will need to change the stock studs for some longer ones.

What is the stock length of rear wheel studs on a 73 Valiant? Would all I have to do is look for some that are 1/2 longer?

Thanks.

Picks of my wheels and rear spacing

A 1/2 " is fine I have ran them almost touching with no problem.
You are good to go if you ask me.

True that, I was just trying to go off what most people recommend about an inch spacing but ill see what it does after a week.

Unless you are going to be canyon carving or auto crossing, you 1/2" clearance will b e fine. I ran 295/50 x 15's on a B body with 1/4 to 3/16 clearance, tires never touched the springs.

Mine is less than a 1/2", go have fun with it.
