CE 3 way rear drag shocks

I have searched around trying to figure out the rear 3 way shocks. I seem to find conflicting information. I have the CE front 3 ways set at 90/10 and I understand that to mean that it takes 10 percent force to raise the car vs 90 percent for it to come back down. The rear are 50/50 60/40 70/30. I have read that setting it at the max 70/30 would have it dropping easier and coming up harder. I have also read the opposite. I assume that you want the rear to go up to push the axle down and so 70/30 would mean 30 percent force to raise it and 70 percent force to come back down?

I am set at 90/10 front and 60/40 back.

Ladder bar or leaf spring car? When I ran CE front and rear on my ladder bar car I had the fronts set at 90/10 and rears to 60/40 if I remember right. I switched to QA1 double in the rear and didn't seem to make much of a difference, but the CE were worn out.
 
It has the XHD leaf springs from Mancini in the back and pinion snubber. Last year we made a couple passes but had some engine issues. Back was up real high with the XHD springs and so we had the front up high too. We turned the spring hangers around and got the back down probably an inch and a half and the front down a couple inches. Hopefully having the front down lower and not so loaded will help weight transfer too. The torsion bars I cant remember right off hand. I think .92. It is a 72 Duster.
 
i use them (SS-Springs) and it felt like there´s too much and too quick separation in the rear when adjusted with the lower extension damping settings. Now i have them set to the stiffest extension / softest compression and the car does make more pitch rotation - in my opinion this works best at the strip.

Years ago I used the same CE shocks (front and rear). My car liked 90/10 up front and 50/50 for the rear. My rear springs were worn out original springs with a snubber. Still got fairly consistent 1.5 60' times with the setup. I would just try it and see what the car likes.
 
I ran those shocks all around for years on a 9 second Duster that weighed 3350 at the line with 002/003 leafs, not minitubbed, 28 by 10 QTP tires on the back
Car went 1.34 60 foot, and was ultra consistent and hooked anywhere. Anybody who knows that car knows how consistent it was
I had the left rear shock on the loosest setting, right rear on the stiffest( car initially wanted to pull the left rear tire off the track on launch) fronts on 90/10.
Never had a need to replace them, they worked perfectly.

haha... the one problem i did have( using the brake) is the car occasionally liked to go on the bumper.... bump stops helped, along with adjusting the chip away from max torque

here is a bumper drag from Norwalk with it. Just a time trial. I lifted when it came down because i heard something, but oil pressue was fine.. so back to work...lol
It knocked 3 of the 4 tie straps off the fan... was touching the pavement a bit. Came down 180 feet out if you listen to the announcer. This was at Monster Mopar
