Has anyone used the kit from PUI (AKA The Parts Place Inc.) for recovering their seats? Fit? Quality?

I have and highly recommend not using them. Legendary is the only way to go in my opinion. Pay a little more get a LOT more.

I bought a set for my 64 Barracuda, and my upholstery guy was NOT impressed. Legendary is much better in fit and quality, but PUI is cheap. Worthwhile if you are flipping or not going to keep the car for long......

Careful PU has a 10 month wait time. At least with 68 Covers. Legendary is by far the best.

Legendary did not make rear covers for my 73 Sport with fold down seat. I went with PUI. No issues at all, very satisfied.

Thanks for the response guys. I would love to have a set from Legendary, if I could just get a response from them. Just looking at other options......

I would contact Dante's or another dealer for Legendary interiors. I ordered all my covers and installation kit from Dante's. He was very good at keeping me informed when my stuff would be shipped.

By the way my front covers looked great. They are currently being installed by my friends upholstery shop. I'll post pictures when they are done.

I bought PUI foam and Legendary seat covers. Got the foam in within a week but I'm 3 months in and still waiting for my seat covers to arrive.

Update on the PUI foam. Don't buy it. It sucks.

The general shape and fit of the foam to the seat frames is acceptable but it doesn't have the same form. On 68 Barracuda buckets the left and right sides of the seat have extra foam to give it that "bump" on each side. The PUI foam has no such bump. The bump on the seat backs is even more pronounced and PUI doesn't have that either.

I wound up using the PUI foam on the bottom part of the seat and while it doesn't have the bumps on each side, it's really not noticeable and the look overall is acceptable. I just wound up using the old foam on the seat back because the PUI fit wasn't acceptable there. Not a big deal since the foam on the back doesn't get worn out like the foam under your *** does.

This is PUI foam with Legendary covers by the way.
