You’re thinking earth terms here. So define ‘space’. There’s no more energy in a spinning object than a non moving object, energy was used to spin the object not continue spinning it. Same thing as continuing in a straight line until acted upon. Which in deep ‘space’ would be 99.9999% to 100% nil. Earth is moving at 18 miles a second, been doing that quite awhile.
