So my car is about 3 months out of the paint shop now and I'm ready to put on a coat of wax or ceramic sealer I've been reading up on the subject I would like to know others opinions. Which would you use for your first layer of protection and why?
An over the top detailer I am not. However when I got the Chevelle back (car from another life lol) I let it sit about 3 months. The first thing I did was clay the whole car. And after that the body and paint guy cut it with compound and then polished it. Both were Liquid form and it exceeded my expectations. I always had in my head that claying the car really cleaned it prior to putting a buffer on it. This was Base/clear. Opinions will vary but it worked for me. Other than that no belt buckles when working on it. In fact, when I reassembled it I wore sweat pants mostly. But I knew in my life there would be another car I would own like that lol....
