RX-3 was the Japanese A-body muscle car with that hot motor and a small chassis. They are big out here as well as 510's and even old notchback Celica GT's.

My brother and I were just talking about RX3s last week . He said a guy at his track has one with a small block chevy LS engine . I said he should have used a 3 rotor twin turbo .

Take a look at the old Mazda rotary engines.

They came with a small 4BBL carb................
the nikki 12a 4 bbl 315 cfm, most the complicated bolt ons can be deleted, as some body else said it can be opened up to 450 cfm's, its a spread bore carb, vacuum secondary's but easy to convert to mechanical, parts easy to find!! came on 78-85 rx7s, dont seem to be many out in the world tho'!! then theres the hitachi 4bbl used on the mazda r4 13b engine ant much info to find on these and even harder to find one!

I have a nice 390 carb if you still need one.

I picked the RX-3 over the RX-2 because of the styling and the fact it had leaf springs like a Mopar. I bought new Keystone Klassic wheels from Summit in 1974 (13x5.5) and ran it at the strip. I ran against a built up Pinto. I was worried because his crew was pushing him through the staging lanes and he had an open header. No problem, my 17.19 @83 beat him. One time i was driving down to Akron snd some guy picked a race with me and I got it up to 115. Red line was 7000 but accidentally hit 8000 more than once. Used to watch them race at Mid-Ohio and they dominated. Haven't seen one for a loooong time.
