Every place has some type of natural disasters in the southeast it hurricanes. To someone who's lived in the southeast most of his life hurricane are an annoyance but not that dangerous as long as you don't live right on the coast but they also are a threat to people that live inland in hilly country from flooding. You also can acclimate to weather but as with what we saw in Texas earlier this year even that can change.
