I was watching some body and paint videos on YouTube today, and I clicked on one from Paint Society called "Best Cheap Paint Gun". The guy who does the Paint Society videos is very talented and is a very good instructor. Anyway, It is called the Iwata Air Gunsa. I watched him use it, and it looked good. He rated it 8/10. I have an Iwata Super Nova, so I can vouch for Iwata quality. People on FABO are all the time asking for a recommendation for a good but inexpensive paint gun. This just might be the ticket.

It's your car, so you can do anything you want to do with it. I'm still sanding and prepping my 70 Swinger to paint it EB5 blue like she was born with. If you want to be like Ford and GM, you can hide a bunch of sins by painting it semi flat black. Your car, your choice.

Oh, so that's why silver thunderbird's engine bay is flat black!

Good reviews, I have one in my cart. I need to paint my engine bay before my stroker goes in her. Thanks for the advice. Paul.

where would be the best place to purchase one of these paint guns?

I'd just Google it and look for the best price. That's how I found my Super Nova. I just don't understand how you can google an item and one person asks, say, $200 for it, and the other asks $275. Both with no tax and free shipping on new items with factory warranty. Who will pay the $275?

For those with hvlp guns already, what compressor do you have? I already know mine wouldn't handle painting, just small nailers and whatnot.

You really should have something with a two stage pump and at least 60 gallons of air. Then you need to pay attention to the gun requirements.

HVLP = High Volume, Low Pressure... Volume is key, so CFM of the pump is important as well as a hose/fittings rated for those requirements.

The person who thinks the extra 75 "gets" them something extra. usually all they get is a warm fuzzy...

I have an 80 gallon single stage compressor. It's been inside the garage it's whole life, and the oil changed regularly. If it's loud, I turn up the stereo! I have a HF filter which seems to work find in my home made sandblaster cabinet. I'm willing to take a chance on this paint gun. I'll start with the engine bay. More to come as I progress. Paul.

I bought one from Amazon for $140 delivered, even after getting sphincter raped with WA state sales tax. It appears to be very well built. Good quality machining and high quality parts. Well built. I'll report back later after I get to use it. This ain't no HF POS.

guys...what size tip are you ordering? i see lots of the Gunsa models and different tip sizes... i want to spray single stage paint.. i already have a primer gun

Mine came with both a 1.4 and a 1.8 tip. I just got my filter/regulator, and am getting to paint the engine bay 1970 EB5 blue.

Blasphemy!

You are close but they changed the album title to Aftermath.

Aftermath (Rolling Stones album) - Wikipedia

The album's release was briefly delayed by controversy over the packaging and title – Could You Walk on the Water? – that had been proposed by the Stones' manager/producer Andrew Loog Oldham. Decca and London rejected his idea, fearing the allusion to Jesus walking on water would provoke a negative reaction from Christians in the US. In response to the lack of creative control, and without another idea for the title, the Stones bitterly settled on Aftermath, and two different photos of the band were used for the cover to each edition of the album. The UK release featured a run-time of more than 52 minutes, the longest for a popular music LP up to that point. The American edition was issued with a shorter track listing, substituting the single "Paint It, Black" in place of four of the British version's songs, in keeping with the industry preference for shorter LPs in the US market at the time.
