Got new door PUI door panels in for my GTS. I see where the lower edges are not stamped for the clips.
This is normal? Does legendary do the same?
On the fronts it looks like the slots are on the top. On the rears i see nothing.
I have no old panels for templets
Any recommendations?

The door panels for my 65 Dart were done by Legendary and were stamped for the clips bottom and both sides

I think I'll call year one. They told me they sold legendary when I ordered.
Well I got PUI . They told me they sometimes use PUI.

From what I’ve read around here, peeps have no complaints about Legendary quality but there have been some complaints about PUI quality. Hopefully YO didn’t charge you Legendary picking for PUI product!

I’ve got Legendary seat covers in my Scamp and the quality is top notch.

Question... At the top center of your pic, Is that a perforated plug that you will remove for a door handle/armrest? If so,, could similar perforated knock outs be hidden beneath the vinyl? I do see a couple of oval shaped impressions there.

I ordered upholstery from Legendary, it costs but in the end its worth it. I m not sure if its PUI, but I have seen "more affordable" things out there that just dont look right on the website, I look up door panels for my 70 swinger, but the pattern in the vinyl isn't 'correct" yes, they will work and yes they cost less, but it isn't exactly what i want. It looks like inexpensive knock offs possibly because of copyright infringement or something its as if they cannot reproduce the exact thing that legendary does because of licensing or something. PUI is good if thats what you want. I had a guy tell me years ago that factory door panels are the best if you can find ones that are intact/ getting difficult to do these days.

I got my first set from PUI saw the poor quality and sent them back, got legendary and they are perfect, like night and day between the two.

The perforated square is for door latch. To the right the oval impressions are on the top of door panel. Should be on the bottom

Question for you: I can get replacement door panels, but they are not pre-cut. I would have to cut out the perforations for the door handle & pad as well as the vinyl. Is there any issue with cutting the vinyl? Will it be a problem where the vinyl would crack later where it was cut? Those panels are expensive, and I don't want any problems.

I will say it again, I am NO EXPERT, but why in hell do people go anywhere other then Legendary for interior stuff??
YearNONE LOL, they will only see any of my $$ as a last resort. Their panels are junk. They dont even cut the holes for window crank in them lmao. Jack wagons.
But yeah go ahead and take a knife to the door cards to make them work. Makes sense to me :wtf:
A way around "cutting/slicing" for door clips is to use velcro instead. That's what I did.
YearNONE, must be $$ laundering for mafia to be able to stay in business.:icon_fU:

Legendary does not list door panels for my '70 Duster. Classic Industries shows they sell the Legendary panels, but they are "coming soon". Maybe some day!

100% agree, pay the money to legendary ,you will not be disappointed. They sometimes have sales and discounts. I got the upholstery and foam etc for both seats on my dart for $1200. Its basically a split bench up front and fixed bench in rear. If you try and save a buck or go cheap you will regret it. Year one? I dealt with them years ago (maybe 20?) they pizzed me off one time when they took my money and then told me the item was "backordered" they couldnt give me any more info than that. That's when I realized they wee "middle men" if you can go right to the source and eliminate the middle man you are better off. These days there are plenty of Mopar parts vendors but there was a time year one was one of the main ones. If they conducted business better Id still be a customer. it doesnt take much to get me walking, the stuff costs good money and if they fail at service its over IMO.

Agree completely about paying for quality. In my case, just waiting on them to produce the correct panels!

Call Legendary directly about your door panel needs. I wanted the odd "high trim " door panels for my 70 Dart Custom that were used only on Customs and GTs. They asked about the condition of my old panels and after figuring they were good enough to make patterns I shipped them to Legendary, they repoped the panels and gave me a discount because I supplied the patterns, and now anybody can get them in the catalog.

That is a very good idea, thanks!

I do 60's lincoln convertible and sedan door panels for my boss in ABS and am contemplating making the new panels for my wife's 66 convertible, but then I'd have to cover them, hmmm
