Parts Prices, WTF?!

I agree with most of this as well. I see both sides. If I'm selling, it's because I'm cleaning house and need the space. I need the space more than I need the part. Part's got to go. I have a 6.1 Hemi in that status. Got it, found a 6.4, so the 6.1 gots to go. Not hurting to sell, but it's for sale.

If I need a part, I usually pay what the seller is asking, but sometimes I'll try to haggle. i don't push too hard though. If I offer a price and they reject it, then I have a choice, take it, or leave it. No butt hurt involved.

if I need a part that I KNOW I NEED and it's rare, like oh I dunno, a windshield frame for an E-Body Vert... yeah, no haggling. I bought that because I need it and I paid handsomely for it. Life's a ***** sometimes.

Am I a hoarder because I buy things I don't absolutely need right then and there? Nope, I have kids who will use this stuff and inherit my cuda vert (if I'm not buried in it) so I like to buy things I think are interesting to me and things I think might be hard to find at some point. Cuz they'll be needed. I buy extra's at the junk yard when I can. I got a few sets of 8-3/4 shock plates and small block elec dizzy's for a good price. Snag. From a functional standpoint, I can set the dizzy's up differently and play around. Not rot on the shelf. Shock plates I need for the cuda and my son's valiant. Again, not going to rot.

Part of the problem for me, is I don't have the local MoPar connections like I did in CO. South TX just seems like everyone hides in their garages or something. So there isn't a whole lot of horse trading going on where I am. If I'm wrong, for the love of all that is holy, make yourself known. I can't stand the tuners and LS's around here !!! LOL...

Anyway, that's my rambling....
