Duster just sold for 68,200!

Dusters were very popular (#1 seller) in the early 70's and when people go back to get that first car, Dusters will be high on the list. Plus they are the right size, weight, and have fantastic body style. Values are going up.
They are. Especially with B&E bodies drying up. I have an A,B and E body. And I can say with little hesitation that B-bodies are a better build quality. And is really my favorite of body styles. I would love to someday get the highest build quality car that Chrysler ever produced? A late 50s very early 60s letter C-body. But DAMN they are $$$$ for anything remotely decent.

Well, they were a more expensive car, and A-bodies were known to have a very reliable drivetrains. Often the same drive trains that were in B-bodies. Nothing could out last a A-body drivetrain. So maybe interior appointments were better, but they just don't look as good. In my opinion.

There was just a 61 300 lettercar listed on FABO a few weeks ago. Pretty cheap too !

Suspension. My GTX from pitman to torsion bars are heavier than my Duster. And not sure a Dana rear was available to a '74 A-body? (But maybe?) I wish they had beefier brakes? My first GTX was drummies all around. That was not a cool. This GTX has the dealership option front disc's. Much improved. By '74? Front disc's were the norm. So comparing a '69 to a '74 is not quite apples to apples. But it's what I got. Cory's Plymouth stable.

Damn and I passed on a 74 Duster for 5 grand in the summer of 2019...
That would be entirely on the options. But they make VERY decent drag car builds. Light. Once bigger tires on back they get nose heavy. Which helps with launch. (Unless very high powered. Then it has same geometry issues all high powered car have. SETUP, SETUP, SETUP.) And the Duster can accommodate a big block. (Hemi is a different story.)
