I wanted initially to install a 727 behind the 340. It didn't fit right, not enough space. So I installed a A999 from an early 80's van. It has better first gear and lockup TQ.
In the rear I did a 8 1/4 with 2:94 gears. I also have some 3:55 gears for it but for what we need the car (cruising) 2:94 are better. And the car is quite fast.
Also installed dual exhaust with original 273 manifolds, new roof, and a home made paint job....
