I have to SO visit Marvin at some point and check this Schinznach made Demon 340 - SO COOL!!!

Thank You very much!

Tell me, if You plan to visit good old Europe again....

You would not be the first FABO - Member meeting the Austrian chapter - Mopar Mitch was yet here.

I'll hold it to you Marvin, haha. We were planning on visiting family in Switzerland, as my cousin lives in Birrhard, just a stones throw away from Schinznach, but with this world sh*t show called Covid19 happening, it probably won't be until next year.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to meet up with Tim Ogi just outside Interlaken, Switzerland, and went ripping thru the Alps in his '70 export 440, 4sp Charger. Wow, what an experience. I'm also going to meet up with a the owner of a '68 Schinznach built 340 Barracuda, over in Solothurne, Suisse. I'm also planning to do a quick photoshoot of these cars as I write for Muscle Cars magazine and hope to features on some of these overseas Mopars/Muscle Cars (I have to convince the editor:). And since I have a '72 Swinger 340 Special, that Suisse built Demon 340 would be awesome to check out, oh, and to meet you to, LOL.

I have - in the past - often attended car-meetings in Switzerland, and I have some friends in the regions of Luzern and St. Margarethen, but I have never been to Schinznach.

I could easily plan a trip to Switzerland, if I know it in time.

When you think you have put the last final touch on your resto there is another final touch, this one I want to thank my young friend "hemiorangeswinger" Randy for finding a pair of new grease caps that I gave up on finding. So my old beat up crusty ones go away and some nice shiny new ones go on, now all of you and I are the only ones that know and can admire them so don't go spreading it around, lol! Until the next final touch.

I'm looking for 2 sets of those grease caps. Nice used or new will work

Looks great. Unfortunately, nobody will see them......but you now they are there.

It's been a couple years now since I finished my restoration and I thought that all the final touches were done but there was one more that evaded me and my friend Joel Cooper who own's the other car of 5 that this dealership managed to order in 1972. Well last fall after posting on the Manitoba Mopar Facebook Associations page looking for the dealership decal a young Mopar enthusiast Scott Stanczak let us know he had an original decal on a 1972 trunk and we were thrilled. He just recently managed to reproduce them for our cars so a big thanks to Scott for his efforts. I put mine on yesterday and wanted to update the thread. I'm not sure if this is the last final touch but it feels like it should be.

I had that same feeling when I was able to stick on ‘new’ dealership sticker on my trunk lid too!

Holy crap your car is beautiful.

That's a beautiful "final" touch. I don't think that we are ever finally done with our toys. I wish I knew what dealership my car originally came from. I don't believe that PennDOT would help me to find that info.

Thanks Kevin, it wouldn’t have been possible without Scott squirrelling away a trunk lid that had the right decal on it and other Mopar Sherlock Holmes’s like Cliff Guinand etc. that found out which dealership this car came from. Let’s hope you can find out your’s origin.

Just when one thinks he's added the last final touch another missed one shows up, lighter was always missing, and again solved by my pal Joel Cooper, thanks Joel!

I never got into smoking either. I have to laugh when I look at the full-size cars from the late 60's and early 70's. They had lighters in the ashtray, driver armrest, passenger armrest, console, and the rear passenger armrests. Seems like we were the only ones not smoking!
I've been able to take the Duster out on the road. My wife and I have fun cruising around. I've been working on my brother's 67 Barracuda that came back from Mike Ross in October. It's a finished shell. Lots of work for me to do but not much free time.

Those weren't really intended to be cigarette lighters. The engineers had enought foresight to know that 50+ years later everyone would need their own charging port for their hand held supercomputer :D
