Street Outlaws. Are you guys into it

-
Big block chevy. Used to be a nitrous car, changed to turbo's, i dont think he ever got a handle on the tune.
(I understand he is a mopar lover, just could never afford a competitive hemi.)
Okay, I assumed he wasnt running a mopar in it, seems like a pretty good guy...just wish he could win more for us a-body dudes

I like doc after his crash this last week, he gets out of the car and asks if this is real or not.
Hell I always thought the show was fake.

Doc got his bell rung pretty good!
do you remember last year when they had that little crash-m derby? When Doc got hit and knocked him out cold..........
I don't think he would pass a NHRA health card.

I starting to re-like jj & the mso crew.
Was having a hard time respecting him a while ago after the sucker punch incident.

He said in an interview that he wished he could afford (at that time) to power it with with a Mopar power plant.

Yeah, Joe doesn’t have the money to do what he is trying to do. BTDT. He is out running his wallet by a MILE. IMO, he needs to take a year off, update the chassis and see where he’s at. If he needs more power after that he can address it then. His chassis is over taxed.

Good to see something other than the typical sham finish with the Mega Cash Days episodes.

If they really want to live up to the name "Street Outlaws?" In the "Purist sense?" Then make it street! Everyone drives their cars to the local pub for a pizza. Then drive about 40 miles thru traffic to a staged no prep road. Must be street legal. DOT tires. Most those car's trans would over heat leaving the pub. There is nothing street about it. They belong on a no prep track.

I've been watching the murder Nova guy's, talk about money! Go back and watch videos from this last month. The man has a huge shop but no customer work, krazy.

Don’t overthink it guys. It’s a show about fast cars. Nothing street about it. Sit back and enjoy the show.

Exactly!

Did anyone watch the last episode of Mega Cash Days? In the semi's on the winners side it was Dennis Bailey of the MSO's against against the kid from California. The kid won the race but JJ started yelling that he jumped, they reviewed the video and he did but Bailey car moved first, putting him in the losers bracket. In the finals of the losers side Bailey jumped again but no one called it, so he's in the finals for the big money.

Yep, made for TV drama at it's best. I still watch though. LOL

Once you know the rules it’s easier to understand. The starter is an impartial judge, and can not bring up if there was a jump. That’s up to the other driver, or team. Not sure but if you think there was a jump and want to see the tape there may be a “fee” involved. I can’t think of the guys name but there is a Black guy that runs a lot of big money races. He has a light on his head and flips it on with an hand switch. I really like his starting method. His head is straight forward and no hand motion is involved. Others should learn from him.

I could have written a thesis paper on starting line, signal, light shenanigans from the 80's. How does that guy always kill the light... cause they knew when it was coming on! It helps when you know the guy starting the race AND he's getting paid by one of the participants. LOL

Even the MSO arm drop thing. There can be a subtle signal from JJ as they are staging, whether he's going quick or slow playing it. Scratch his arm or side of head, whatever. So many games can be played.

Same as the JJ race in Las Vegas where the last race decided it. The MSO camaro crossed beyond the outside of the lane, but, somehow they said nope. Tire clearly over the line.

I've never street race and don't ever plan on it, so I'm not sure what goes on in the real world of street racing. Gotta remember that if the show isn't entertaining it wouldn't be on TV. I'm sure there is plenty of scripted or fabbed up drama worked in there for the entertainment value to keep people talking.

With us it was always an arm drop, point, arms over head, circle arms in air and drop. Never had the same guy or girl flag twice so it was tough to cheat but then we were pretty lenient on jumping. I kind of liked the fastest in America show even though the format was terrible, really reminded me of what is was like to run the race spots until the sun came up. Man I miss those days!

I also believe real street outlaws has done more for drag racing than anything in the last thirty years or so.

Old iron! Thats like a guy in Australia that had a massive drag team with three b/double transporters every time he went interstate. He was sponsored by a big company but was spending many times more than that but he was under a federal police investigation for a fair while. When they came down on him big time he claimed his innocence but he was locked up and charged and all his equipment was seized and sold of as proceeds of crime!

im only into jjda boss, which hes coming to bonne terre mo. here, have the dart entered, ran at 2 other of his arm drop events, dont care if i will i have only a knife to bring to a gun fight, but lots of fun

I think Joe is running a Proline widebore which uses an Alan Johnson block and heads. They build a Hemi version which is pricier and more expensive to maintain. $77,000 IIRC. Used ones are around $50K. Several guys are running the Hemi version.

They might use a BBC waterpump and valve covers but little else.

I think Flips old Elcomino gets totaled tonight. Flip committed suicide years ago. He was a happy go lucky type of guy and producer of the traction compound many of the guys use. I saw pictures of the car late year after the wreck and it wasn’t pretty.
Street Outlaws is for the Trailer Park People Entertainment, just like WWE, and Nascar.
