I have a 1973 scamp and when I was the car I get water leaking into the driver floorboard. Not sure if it is coming from the wiper pivots, the windshield, steering column gasket , or the fresh air vent. What are the common areas of leaking for the A-bodies. I am going to need someone to get under the dash while I hose it down but any help appreciated. Thanks

Check the drain on each side to see if it is unobstructed, if that drain is plugged it will allow water to pool around the fresh air vent and run inside. It could be windshield, air vent or wiper pivots.

Where is the drain? Pooling around the fresh air vent was my suspi

Posted in another thread. Behind the hinge and fender.

I used a long tube on an air blower attachment on compressed air and kept at it until water flowed freely. I had my fenders off when I did mine.

Sometimes the area around the vent is rusted and allows for leaks too, you won't know until you look.

Is it wet around or inside the fresh air vent door?

If not, best bet is to lie on your back somehow with a flashlight and see if there are water marks/rust marks up behind the dash around the windshield or wiper pivots. If nothing is obvious then have someone spray a hose on the car while your inside it to see where it’s coming in.

Every time I have had that happen, A, B, C or E body, it has been the wiper pivots.
