Looking for an nice original (with good gasket and no rust) or NOS chrome non-vented gas cap for 1970 Duster 340. Thanks for helping.

Yes, I did see those on e-bay, but "wow" what prices. I was hoping someone had one a little more reasonable. I would also take an old faded, original painted Rallye Red.

Thanks, 1500swinger anyway.

Price reflects new 50 year old part

They have been going for $100 ( which I bought a couple) for the style your looking for and had to pay $300 for an early 71 ( 6 month only) with ecs. You can get aftermarket stant cap for $20.

$100 shipped is more reasonable for a NOS chrome, non-vented. If anyone has one for sale at this price, I'll take it.

Still needing an original chrome, non-vented gas cap. I think it's P/N 2823328.

I would also take one that has "aged" Rallye Red paint.

I might have one that came with my 72 swinger. Is that the same part?

Not sure about the match. It must be non-vented to work for me. Did your Swinger have ECS (evaporation control system)? If yes, then it would be a vented type cap.

Is it chrome or Rallye Red?

Also, I think the cap should be 3 1/4" O.D. and the under side section that slips into the gas tank filler neck is 1 3/8" O.D.

Can you send pictures of your cap?

i have a painted one, blue, and a chrome one, blue one has 885 part number, none on chrome, how do u tell if vented?

Underside of cap has hole and one way valve. Underside of cap kinda has bulge in center of cap pointing towards gas tank.

The fastest way is just look at the underside ...the non-vented does not have a raised center section with a small hole in it.

The chrome would work best for me, since the other is blue. Can you send a picture of the outside and inside? Thanks.
