16:1 manual steering
the worm gear needs to be half way between the two stops to check for adjustment
I get the halfway part, it cranks completely from side to side.
If there is an adjustment it is not clear what it is exactly, and should a new box really need it?
I have two FSMs, although this car is a 67, one is for a 62 and one for a 64, identical.
Only 2 adjustments are listed, worm bearing preload, which imo I shouldn't have to do, and ball nut rack and sector mesh, which doesn't appear to apply to this issue, not sure, and should this be something a new box needs?
If it matters, the steering shaft only goes on one way, Norm's clearly marked it and provided instructions. Nice piece.
