Anybody running 10s with a small block and factory iron heads

He would not need to run a stock eliminator cam. And super stocker run solid rollers as their no lift rules...

In the early stages of when my friend first decided to try his hand at Stock, we were still pretty green at it and were trying to figure the cam situation out.
After about the 5th cam...... we decided to do an experiment to see if it was worth continuing down that path.
So, we put the small Ultra Dyne solid lifter cam he had in the motor when it was a street/strip car.
Stocker cam #5= 12.28
Normal cam = 11.86
Done on consecutive weekends.

Stocker cams are not some silver bullet for great ET’s.
They are what they are to satisfy the rules....... and are a performance liability.

That combo ended up running deep into the 11’s with the very same short block as when the car was being driven on the street.
TRW pistons, stock cast rods, std rings...... everything.
