New converter

I have a friend with a 408 duster and a custom PTC converter that works really well. Any good custom built converter will always be miles ahead of the shelf units. Got the cam spec's? I'm more just curious than anything else.
I believe that to be true. Custom converters are internally modified for specific rpm's and function. Of the shelf converters are usually smaller converters welded onto the base to provide a higher stall. I would ask a manufacturer for the right one that matches your build. A 408 doesn't rpm much so you don't necessarily need a real high stall.
