I'm familiar with what I put on MY CAR, which is the Addco. I upgraded the factory hardware to much heavier duty brackets with grease fittings and also relocated the brackets to the top of the K frame, instead of underneath, like the instructions say to do it. This did two things for me. First of course, it raised the bar way up, even over the center brace for the bottom of the center part of the valance. Secondly it also brought the bar up almost completely parallel with the strut rods. I've read from "the experts" whoever the hell they are that is the best position. Who the hell knows? At any rate, here's what mine ended up looking like. No way in hell is it gonna bottom out on anything now.
