Buying car from A-Body only ?

There are escrow companies that will handle these type of transactions.

The way you are saying this it sounds like you are buying the car sight un seen and having it shipped.

If that is the case Caveat Emptor (Brady Bunch reference)

If not bring cash and do not leave without the signed title, bill of sale, photo of the sellers drivers license, smog certificate, safety cert or other of those type of documents you will need to get titled and registered in your state / county.

Also some states have an issue with vehicles that have not been titled to the person selling the car to you. (Original seller sells car to party A, party A does not title the car in their name, Party A sells car to you, you try to title the car and the gov says no way, seller is not the legal owner.)

You are buying it AS IS regardless of what anyone says, and get EVERYTHING in writing.

Good Luck
