Finally got my tags for my 66 Friday. So the girls and I took the it for a ride. From what I can tell the car has been off the road since 2001. After the first couple miles all seemed well, so we kept going. 35 mile back road drive was awesome. Its been since 2013 that I've had a street car to cruise in. My Daughter and Girlfriend were loving it. Neither have really been in a older car. Both have been in my race car around the neighborhood but nothing like this. I could have kept driving for hours. The car need a couple of small things gone over. This is going to be a fun summer.
Oh and I forgot. We had some late model vette owner try to race us. Not sure how long I can keep the little cuda stock. Keep telling myself its a cruising car.

Went for my first of the season ride in mine 2 days ago and yes felt great to get the old beast out of the garage.
You have the same problem as most of us here hard to keep it stock. lol

"nothing can go wrong if it has just a little more power"
or the always great, "its just a cam..."
good luck keeping it stock

Funny how that works. I ordered a new Gladiator diesel a couple of months ago and I’m trading in my 2017 Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon (which I really like.) I parked the Wrangler while waiting for it to arrive, to prevent any dings that might affect the trade-in I was given. So... not wanting to drive mama’s Ford Edge, I started driving my ‘65 Dart GT convertible. It needed some little things to make it nicer to drive, which I fixed. Funny thing is, I really enjoy driving around Lake Havasu in it. The top is good, but always down. Almost every time I go out someone comes over with some positive comment, or tells me about a similar car in their past. It also helps keep me motivated to work on my ‘65 Go-Go coupe, which is far from being drivable. It’s a 50 footer, but still...If you got ‘em drive ‘em, I say!

This one is going to stay mostly stock.( "mostly" will be defined later) I have 2 other cars if I need to go fast.

It’s a great feeling just tooling the back roads in your classic car. It’s my “me” time, because nobody usually wants to go with me! Enjoy that Cuda, bud, they’re great little cars.
