'67-72 A-Body B/RB Installation

This shows how to locate engine in what would be a factory location

Footnote #39

The positioning of the engine effects everything as far as how high it’s installed etc. What oil pan etc is being used. Some just don’t work in the A bodies. I did a 440 in my 71 Demon which essentially has the same dimensions as the Barracuda. I used a 30930 Milodon oil pan which I had to dimple for the idler arm. Idler is passenger side, pitman is driver side. I did use a Direct Connection k-frame for the big block. It also makes a difference if using a fast ratio pitman and idler as they are longer. Sorry long winded but trying to give what I learned. The stroker kit has zero bearing on the install unless it required an external oil pick up on the pan.
