Long story short
Went from Caltrac to ladder bars
53% on the nose
Been a fight to get the car to snatch the tire out of the beams for reaction time purposes with a 7.0 tune up ( no power) 4ths pro tree
I believe I have made the car finally do what I want .
The bottom hole with the ladder bars , a little less weight on the nose along with a little stored energy in front seems to have done trick , not a big deal to most but man it’s been a long road

Couldn’t get correct reaction times as the track had a new “girl” in the tower, but last weekend I was driving out of the beams with a .021
And this out could only muster a .765
No zero .765 was the best so hopefully there was a tree issue ( )

.021 to .765 something is terribly wrong & I don't think it's your reaction time. .765, I could grab a bite & a drink with that much time before the green.

I really needed the reaction results . But at least the car is doing what I need.

My fingers are crossed that going up is faster then driving out

You lift is comparable to how our Stock Eliminator Dakota left, wheels up ever so slightly & motivated down the track.

We lifted the tires 2, may 3 inches never pulled the red bulb, 60' was between 1.42 & 1.48 consistently.

I run 4/10’s pro, usually cut about .050-.020. I’m not lifting the tire! I just barely turn on the second bulb. First hint of color on the top amber and I’m gone. If I go red in time trials I’ll watch the bottom amber. Each track is a bit different. Auto trans

I have just got the car responding like it does in the video, I’m hoping to get some
Testing done this weekend or next , and should have some real data to verify up is faster then out . I sure hope it is , it’s been a struggle to get it to come up .I hit a wall
With my reaction time which strangely enough was .020-.050 .
Which just will not win in our local scene .
You will go rounds but not likely the event winner.
The payouts have brought some serious bracket racers along with there serious bracket car to race with us . not uncommon
To see some .00lights .
So I decided to step my game up and boy has it been tough . If this doesn’t do what I need I’ll have to swap to a glide , as it seems they have a super fast valve body and pro brake .

Keep at it! I do the same as furrystump, light the top light, set my rpm and barely bump in to the second bulb. When that last amber starts to turn hammer on it. Best light for me is a .000 and I hope that's not a once in a lifetime bulb. Foot braking

What trans and what brake in there now?

You are on the right track. I run on a 5/10 pro tree in 11.50 index I just put a starting line rpm controller in late last year, its a lever on a spring that I can set to leave at my desired rpm ( 2,000) no looking at the tach, leave the line and let go of the lever. I footbrake and it helped my R.T.s. I also deep stage its was tough at first but two very good reputable winning local racers told me to keep at it so I did and it helped. Remember : R.T.s are very important but you have to be able to drive the stripe also.

Any chance we can get some pics of this spring and lever setup?

So is this like a mechanic throttle stop?
Got a pic under the hood. I've never seen this before.
No it actually opens the throttle when the lever is pushed.. I though I had pictures of mine installed on my car under the hood but can't find them .. these are from the guy that makes them Facebook page

So this holds your rpm at a certain amount at the line until you mash the throttle. Legal in no electronics right.
What should I search under on Facebook to find this.
