How to interact with a police officer(s)

I had a friend that was a highway patrolman. His advice was:

1) stop the car
2) turn off the engine
3) roll down the driver's side window
4) if it's dark, turn on the dome light
5) hands at 10:00 and 2:00 on the wheel
6) when the officer starts talking to you listen
7) when the officer asks you to do something comply

It's that word on your number 7 that just doesn't seem to work for people at times...... Having worked on a bunch of personal vehicles for Po-po and hanging out with plenty in my time I can tell you they are good people. Wired a little different maybe but solid people in society....

It's like this- don't start none and won't be none.... All of these "headliners" in the last year started the train wreck.... It's not complicated....
