LOL yes in about 10 other chores, those were actually installed in my car about 6 months ago and the body work was done out of town but from what I remember yes the post screws into the backing assembly. And the whole assembly is boxed in nicely.
Looks perfect. I haven't done a thing with my door striker post since I initially posted the thread. But the weather is warming up and work can resume... and the grass needs to be cut!
