Is there a low profile water pump for a 360?

Guys, this isn't a long hose problem, or the bottom hose being sucked closed problem. This is an air flow problem. He's said multiple times that he only over heats at a stop. Going down the road it cools back off. The bottom hose will not suck shut at idle. Ain't happenin. Although the long snaky hoses look stupid, they aren't causing his problem. He doesn't have enough air flow. I know what I would do. I would put a genuine Mopar style correct radiator in it and put a viscous fan and shroud on it, but it's not mine and I don't want to spend the guy's money....which is why I recommended staying with the radiator he has and him getting a better fan. But, he's bound and determined to fight it every step of the way, so to heck with it. My car runs great, so I'm out.

Back an inch :poke:

since the mount is not centered in the bracket, i betcha you could spin the bracket around and match the messed up motor mounts

not that i expect you would be able to get the OP to look at that, but that is neither here nor there

Then how would the transmission be sitting in the cross member? lol
Exactly, how can there be less space from front of WP to rad?

I get that rad might be rear justified but really how could stuff not fit.

I have a $140 cheap aluminum Summit radiator that was as big as I could fit between the frame rails which basically the grading was as big as the opening with side tanks... The thinnest electric fan I could find and still have to offset it from the water pump.. no shroud 410 Stroker zero cooling issues...

Is it a crossflow??

I've had great luck with Summit cheapie cross-flow radiators as well. Not sure why some folks **** on them so much.
Some people spend way too much money on brand name stuff and feel if they can get other people to buy it as well they will be justified...

@67DodgeDart360 I would suggest going to a flex fan, no clutch. Here is one I purchased at a local Oreillys just to test on my run stand. If it works for you in keeping your car cool, then I would be looking for a STOCK 5 bladed Mopar fan. The fan is a plastic/nylon... I would not suggest using it forever, only as a testing tool, it draws a lot of air through the radiator at idle speeds.

I've been using a fan just like that since 1979, no issues at all
I replaced the a blue version of that fan with a black one. lol
180 temp with 4.56 gears and a potent 383.

Like this idea: ^^^^^

Get an oem copper brass rad, mechanical fan and oem shroud and start enjoying your car.

Hi George
I have a 360 in a 65 Dodge dart. The radiator core is 22" wide and 18". I need a fan shroud like yours. What size is your radiator and where did you buy the shroud?
Thanks
Dave

Just make sure the fan matches
I think you may be able to get by with running a smaller fan...but not a bigger one

Every year, same thing.
Dozens and dozens of posts about overheating !

Perhaps try a search on "overheating" , - and read the last few posts of a few dozens.
They all come down to three solutions .
Good luck .

My race car had a 470 stroker in it. 655 hp and 620 tq. I used the factory 2 core 26 in rad with a declutching fan from a 70 dart 340 car and 180 Stewart Electronics thermostat. Never gets to 200 even on 39* Celsius. Kim

I think the OP got his feelings in a knot and left I'm sorry if the truth hurts............
