Hello all,
I took the steering box for my ‘65 Valiant apart to check the condition of the inside but I think I put it back together wrong. To specify, I believe I didn’t align the gears properly so I think this is now causing an issue with my pitman arm. Would someone be able to describe to me the proper way to assemble the gears into the box? Thanks!

If it is a standard box it should take a little more than 5. You have done the impossible. Take the top off the pinion shaft and lift the drive pinion up and turn the imput shaft till the pinion shaft is in the middle of the worm gear.

I will try that first thing tomorrow!
