ive had this t/c for a few years now, ive had a few rough idle cams in front of it, i could idle engine down to 4 to 500, throw it in gear and tach wouldnt even move. got it going this spring and now idle drops 2 to 300 rpm, even stalls out like low stall factory t/c i had before.question is, can i ''lose my stall''? or am i missing something?

nothings changed except carb, i guess i could put holley back on and see what happens, just spent good money on the tq though

faulty low-speed circuit and or incorrect transferslot exposure
You said;

But since you failed to mention this, in post #1,
I gotta ask;
did you change the timing?

I had a lot of TQs in my day but never really used them on cammed up engines. They didn’t like to idle very well. Put them on something stock and they ran fantastic. Kim

timings the same, idle is all over the place, no vacuum leak, this is the 2nd tq ive tried with lumpy cams, going back to holley tomorrow and see whats what

put the 750 holley back on with hvh super sucker under it on holley street dominator intake, runs like a sumbitch,need to tune out a bit of bog.now to sell tq 9810s with electric choke

Why would anyone change from a good running Holley to a TQ.
Tuning a Carter is not for your average shade tree mechanic. lol

boredom, trying something different, i like spending money i don't have.....etc,etc.... what can i say!
