Hi, Haven't found a thread about this.
I'd like to know if I can install a 1970 Woodgrain Rallye Steering Wheel on a 68 Barracuda.
I know this:
-1970 has small holes on the spokes
-In 1970 the color of the woodgrain is lighter
Questions:
-Is the horn adapter different on a 1970? Do I have to find a 68/69 or it will work anyway?
-Will the spokes holes be visible then?

Thank you

The 70 column is larger diameter than a 68-69. The 3 holes are to mount this plastic ring. It fills up the gap from the larger diameter column, then the satin finished horn Switch mount is different on a 70, it has a larger base diameter to line up with the column.

You can use a 70 wheel on a 68-69 if you remove the black plastic ring from the wheel and use the 68-69 horn switch mount.

Yes the plastic fake woodgrain is a different color also.

Thanks! Using a 68/68 horn adapter on a 70 wheel I won't see the small holes on the spokes right?
Well, the woodgrain color can be fixed I think... any suggestion?

Hi, my steering column looks like this, I have the standard 68 barracuda steering wheel. If I want to install the woodgrain really steering wheel what should I do? What parts do I need?
- steering wheel
- horn adaptor
- horn pad

what else is needed for the swap?
