Don't know what shifter you have but I managed to convert my b&m pro stick to rear exit from the shifter and comes around to the trans from the rear like the turbo action shifters for the torque flite do.
Thats clearly the best long term plan, if I buy a new shifter that will be the requirement. I don't think I could make that work with the old Megashifter I have in the car.
