Other than Armor All, should I be using something on the factory vinyl on the exterior of the roof?

It's in very good condition and I don't want it to dry out and crack

Armorall is good but I feel it's a little too shiny. I use Finish Kare Top Kote Tire Dressing. This is a Floyd McQuire product ( you know the McQuire family) only available through professional detail distributers. It looks and applies like Armorall but is not as shiny. Tires look much better and other rubber parts are softened and revitalized.

Armorall is silicone and I won't use it anywhere.

Adams vinyl restorer is the ****. All of their products are good

I like baby oil. It's great on vinyl. It looks shiny when first applied but it soaks in and treats the vinyl.

Back in Mo. I had a guy that was a iife long unpholstry man. The best. He also said use baby oil on vinyl and NEVER use a silicon product lke AmourAll.
On another note, WD40 shines up plastic but maybe not so good for it??

I went with Adam's VRT and their applicator pads

Both arrived today and I will apply it this evening

Thanks!!

I know that this will just show how old I am, but the TV ads get me to try Nu-Vinyl. They still make it and it really does work. The top on one of my 70 darts is the original and shows no problems.

My 72 Fury is garage kept, 100,000mi. The white top is in good condition. I just wash it with the rest of car and wipe down. Looks great but again garage kept

I used some VRT on the rear seats. Amazed how well they cleaned up after two coats , it looks so good

Going to do the front seats tonight

VRT definitely is good stuff
