I didn't realize you had a thread going here for the car, George.
You should name it the ''CasaNova.''

I had a 73 Nova back in college, got quite a few tickets with that car.
You know you are getting a ticket, when the Deputy says, "Did I just give you a ticket last week?"

Man that's an awesome Story! And update! So cool its running after all these years. I love old cars!

Changed the cam break in oil today. Now I’m off to work for a couple weeks. Then it’s back to get some load time on the engine.

My dad bought a new 70 vista cruiser for 5k.it was a friggin tork monster even at 4600lbs. I blasted it down the highway to 115 mph. After the area around the roof glass rusted out and he got eventually got rid of it. It was an extremely well built durable engine. We loaned the car to a family friend who badly overheated it. The spark plugs boots were so burnt that they puffed up and looked like a black pork rind. Our mechanic looked at the car and said the engine was toast. It took a lot of persuasion but my dad agreed to let me bring it home to see what I could do with it. I talked to my hot rod buddies and they said that the rings would be smoked and that it would burn lots of oil. I tore into it and replaced all the cooling parts, which amazed my dad. It did smoke a little when first started and burnt very little oil, I attributed not to the rings but the rubber valve seals.
Bought a 71 nova 307 ac, ps for 900 in 81. Great car until I wrapped it around a tree: I seem to have a bad habit of doing that.
